We often hear about “wearing many hats.” This is supposed to mean that you function in many roles.
I don’t like hats. They have no function other than keep the sun out of your eyes or add some frivolous accent to a wardrobe.
I prefer the “fills many seats” analogy to describe what I do when I approach a project. With a large range of experience and a touch of ADHD, I view a project from many directions and try to solve all the problems that accompany it.
